What was the point of the plot point where Clio drowned – and then was saved by Melita? Every page was a freaking plot twist. As I mentioned with the first book, there’s so many characters with just the typical features, and now, even with new ones introduced, they still have the same features and qualities, and to be quite frank, it’s really frustrating. They were all so unique and different, and very distinguishable from each other.

This story isn’t only about witchcraft but also about personal discovery and growth. The series is fast paced, and incredibly descriptive, one of my favorite things about Cate Tiernan’s writing.

I really, really don’t like this book! All these interplots are confusing and it will be interesting to see how the girls and their grandmother prevail.
